On Thursday morning, fired FBI Director James Comey testified before the Senate to describe what transpired between him and President Donald Trump during the agency’s probe into former national security adviser Michael Flynn. During the former FBI director’s testimony, a bombshell admission was made which shines light on the so-called evidence of Russian hacking — there isn’t any.
As the Free Thought Project has continuously reported, there has yet to be a single shred of concrete evidence proving interference in the 2016 election by Russia. In spite of the mainstream media putting out stories of anonymous sources confirming Russian hacking, other than documents claiming it happened, the public has seen nothing.
Even with this week’s revelations from NSA leaker, Reality Winner, that purported to ‘prove’ Russian involvement in the hacking of US elections turned out to be a major dud.
While mainstream media, and, sadly, the Intercept, ran with details of a Top-Secret NSA report on Russian Hacking, the ‘Reality’ of Reality’s leak amounted to little more than hearsay.
Even the Intercept was forced to report that this leak provided no evidence.
While the document provides a rare window into the NSA’s understanding of the mechanics of Russian hacking, it does not show the underlying “raw” intelligence on which the analysis is based.
While this testimony may certainly expose Trump for lying — so many times on so many topics — it does not prove any Russian hacking took place. In fact, as pointed out below, it shows quite the opposite.
Conveniently, no corporate media has picked up on Comey’s statements over the lack of evidence as it likely shatters their narrative. They are, however, filling the web with statements from Comey that are little more than conjecture.
Senator Richard Burr, (R) North Carolina opened the inquiry into Comey. After a series of entirely led questions which allowed Comey to assert — over and over again — that he has “no doubts Russia interfered with the US election,” Burr asked the most important question of all. He wanted to know if Comey had ever seen any evidence of the hacking.
Burr: “Did you ever have access to the actual hardware that was hacked? Or, did you have to rely on a third party to provide you the data that they collected?”
Comey: “In the case of the DNC, we did not have access to the devices themselves. We got relevant forensic information from a private party….a high-class entity that had done the work. But, we didn’t get direct access.”
Burr: “But no content?”
Burr: “Isn’t content an important part of the forensics from a counter-intelligence standpoint?”
Comey: “It is, although, what was briefed to me at the time by my folks, the people who were my folks at the time, is that they had gotten the information from the private party, that they needed to understand the intrusion by the spring of 2016.”
After this bombshell admission by the former FBI director, the senator changes the subject and jumps backward to a question about meeting with Clinton.
Comey’s admission backs up previous information about how the FBI was blocked by the DNC from ever examining their servers.
As Slate asked last month:
Why wouldn’t the Democratic National Committee allow the FBI to check their servers during the investigation of the DNC breaches during the 2016 election?
The DNC maintains there’s a simple answer to this question: According to the group, the FBI never asked to see their servers. But FBI Director James Comey told the Senate Intelligence Committee back in January that the FBI did, in fact, issue “multiple requests at different levels” to the DNC to gain direct access to their computer systems and conduct their own forensic analysis.
Now Comey is testifying that in spite of his multiple requests being denied to see the actual evidence, he can say ‘without a doubt’ that Russia hacked the election. This entire claim and case against Russia, according to Comey, is based solely on information given to him on an analysis of the DNC breach conducted by security firm CrowdStrike.
As the Free Thought Project has reported, relentlessly, the Russian hacking narrative is a Red Herring. It is a narrative, contrived by the deep state — after Hillary Clinton lost the election — to distract and divide the country while the establishment maintains business as usual. Regardless of empty claims of Russian hacking, the United States will continue to wage wars, grow the police state, fund terrorism, and erode freedoms.
While there is no evidence of Russian hacking in the elections, on the contrary, multiple state officials have linked the Department of Homeland Security to election hacking — and they have the evidence to back it up.
As the Free Thought Project previously reported, the Department of Homeland Security, under the Obama administration, attempted to hack the Indiana State electoral system nearly 15,000 times.
Prior to the hacks in Indiana, it was the state of Georgia that exposed DHS meddling in their elections.
The case against Russia, as we’ve previously reported, is alleged to have been contrived mere moments after Clinton lost the election. Last month, WikiLeaks detailed the contents of the book “Shattered” — written by Jonathan Allen — which lays out the plan quite clearly.
Wikileaks uploaded a picture from a page of Allen’s new book which destroys the Russian hacking narrative immediately. Wikileaks tweeted, “New book by ‘Shattered’ by Clinton insiders reveals that “blame Russia” plan was hatched “within twenty-four hours” of the election loss.”
The page uploaded by Wikileaks explains how the Clinton spin machine was set in motion in the minutes following her loss to Trump. Allegedly, John Podesta (Clinton’s campaign manager), collaborated with Robby Mook (fellow member of the Clinton campaign) to make the argument the election was rigged by the Russians — an argument which was put forward when it was revealed in early 2016 the Democratic National Committee’s emails had been hacked.
Building on that narrative, the Clinton camp reportedly put out the notion to members of the media that the election was anything but fair. The suggestion was apparently made that “Russian hacking was the centerpiece of the argument.”
Even some of the mainstream media has been forced to admit it is all a facade. On a broadcast of MSNBC’s “Rachel Maddow Show” last week, Andrea Mitchell, NBC’s Chief Foreign Affairs Correspondent and the host of MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports,” stated a fact which has yet to be reported on by the heavily biased news outlet — Russiagate is a “conspiracy theory” created by Hillary Clinton.
